Tango Classes at Grapes

Graham Stanford, owner of Puerta al Tango dance studio in Albuquerque, returns to TorC to teach beginner social tango classes. He and his students, who’ll be in town for a hot spring / tango retreat, will also host a milonga in the late afternoon.

Join in one or both classes:

Session one: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
Session two: 12:10 pm to 1:00 pm

Graham teaches students how to dance tango socially through body awareness and human connection, at their own pace, to create a style that is uniquely theirs. Social Argentine tango developed in the late 1800s in Buenos Aires. Unlike performance tango, social tango prioritizes connection over prowess of steps.

Come dance. Come watch and listen to classic tango music. All are invited to dance but it’s not required.

No partner is needed! Take part in one session for $15, or take both sessions for $25.
